5 Ways to Build Confidence as a Mompreneur

Posted on Mar 30, 2020

Leaving your corporate or stay-at-home-mom job to follow your dream of becoming an Entrepreneur can be easier said than done.

Believe me, I know, I’ve been there. In fact, I even bought the T-shirt. And still with all the ups and downs, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I get to spend time with my kid whenever I like during the day, and yes, I also get those tug-on-my-dress hug-my-leg days but at least it’s my leg. And I’m glad it is.

We are living in an uncertain world where we don't know what tomorrow will look like.

Now is the time to think outside the box to find business solutions that allow you flexi-time and a basic income.

To quote Dave Hollis:

"In the rush to return to normal, use this time to consider which parts of normal are worth rushing back to."

Now is the time to start building that business you've always dreamed of.

Now is the time to start making inroads to the life you’ve always dreamed of.

So, with that in mind, here are some of my tried and tested ways of building self-confidence in starting your own creative kids club.

1. Take a step in the dark

I came across this motivational meme the other day…

That pretty much sums up what starting a business feels like.

Anyone can do it, but it's the few that continue to take the next step that generally make a success of it.

Plus, like the horse and the boy in the above meme, the Creative Crafting Club will be by your side every step of the way.

2. Pat yourself on the back

Because no one else will. And don’t stop at the pat. Take yourself out for lunch, pour a glass of wine and finish it off with a decadent chocolate brownie. You deserve it! You’re making inroads to the life you’ve always dreamed of.

But if it's a tribe you’re after, the Creative Crafting Club community is a click away.

3. Spend time with your kids

Not only because they're fun to be around and they’ll remind you of why you’re doing this in the first place but they offer some much-needed distraction, which believe me, will help you slow down your busy mind.

Hold back on following up for the tenth time, take a breather from your cold-calling. Stop rewriting your website for the umpteenth time and go out and smell the roses with your kids in tow.

4. Trust your decisions

They got you this far, didn't they? Remember, you’ve made the best decisions in the various stages of your life thus far. So why stop now? You started this journey for a reason, and yes, while there are ups and downs, ultimately, there are way more ups and you know it.

5. Empower yourself

Empowering yourself with knowledge is the best gift you can give yourself. Not only does it build confidence but it gives you access to information and inspiration. The two work hand-in-hand when starting a business.
