Starting from humble beginnings, Heleen worked to turn her dream of starting a kids crafting club into a reality. But it didn’t happen immediately…
There were days when she thought to herself, ‘I'm going to go to the craft studio for one child – maybe I should just cancel this lesson.’
So she came up with a new mantra to encourage herself to keep going: “Get up, get dressed, put on your lipstick and arrive.”
If she didn't respect that one child who made the effort to show up then she would not have experienced this remarkable change... 👇🏻
A handful of lipstick tubes later, Heleen finds herself in the midst of her busiest week, teaching after-school classes to 154 kids, organising a ‘Paint & Wine’ evening for 70 ladies, and still keeping up with her 25 regular students.
Watch Christelle’s interview with CCC Academy member Heleen to find out how she juggles everything at once, and how she persevered through hard times to achieve success.
We'd love to hear from you!
