Age recommendation: 

This project is recommended for kids ages 4 to 6 with basic adult assistance, and kids ages 7 to 12 would love it too and would be able to do the project on their own.

Here’s what you’ll need:

We've listed lots of supply options below, be creative and use what you have! 

• Sock - old/new - white works well to paint on 
• Recycled plastic bottle - 250 ml or slightly bigger
• Elastic band/string
• Scissors/utility knife 
• Marker
• Embroidery needle
• String/wool
• For threading: beads/straws/noodles
• Paint Supplies: tempera watercolour cakes, bowl of water, paintbrush

For Homemade Bubbles:

• 1 cup lukewarm water
• 4 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid
• 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
• Flat container for your bubble mix

What super skills will your students learn?

Free Play: when a child gets the opportunity to be involved in unstructured play, which in turn allows the development of a child’s imagination while exploring the world around them. In this craft the children will be given the opportunity to play freely whilst blowing bubbles.

Fine-motor Coordination: when one is able to use the smaller muscles groups mainly for object manipulation and the use of various hand grasps. This will be seen when the children thread their straws on the string making use of a pincer grasp.
