Cara's Story: From Schoolteacher to Thriving Creative Business Owner

Coming out of the pandemic, teacher Cara saw her students struggle to create, be artistic, and think outside the box. 

After joining the CCC Academy she started a club and devoted herself to helping kids think differently, learn to problem solve, and develop the confidence to create.

Then Cara shared her story with the CCC community, the votes came pouring in, and she won herself a lifetime CCC membership!

This kickstarted a whole new chapter in her creative business. Watch the videos below to see how far she has come since winning our CCC for Life competition.

 Here's how Cara started her journey back in 2022: 

After winning CCC for Life, Cara grew her arts & crafts club to include summer camps, birthday parties, baby showers and DIY kits that she sells at craft fairs (all while holding down a full time job!)

In 2023 she won a contract with a school district to teach after-school enrichment classes at 28 out of 36 elementary schools. She hired 7 employees to keep up with the demand and is planning to expand her offerings even further to give her employees more work!

Cara is making a huge impact on so many little lives, helping them to free their imaginations and build confidence through creativity.

We are beyond proud of how much progress she has made in such a short space of time and we are privileged to be a part of her creative journey.
