Scarecrow Puppet Craft Along Using Recycled Materials (Free Guide Inside!)

Posted on Aug 06, 2020

We are finally (after 5 months of being closed) opening the doors to our crafting studio in Cape Town again!

The studio looks a bit different than it did before... meet our new crafting buddies:

✅  Sanitized stations
✅  Social distancing
✅  Separate set of supplies per child
✅  Masks and hand spray
✅  Small classes

We’ve had a LOT of parents reaching out over the last couple of weeks asking when classes will resume. If you’re running in-person classes you may have experienced the same.

We get it! Enough already, Covid-19!

Even though we’re embracing virtual classes there is still nothing that quite compares to in-person classes and the spontaneous social engagement that comes with it.

Holy biscuits, we CAN’T WAIT to welcome our kiddies back for some serious STEAM crafting fun!

In today’s video we are taking a break from business tips and strategies. Today is all about having FUN!

Grab your kiddos and a few recycled items and join me for a super fun Scarecrow Puppet Craft Along.

In this lesson we created a fun scarecrow puppet toy that opens up a world of imaginative and open-ended PLAY! Kids are naturally drawn to puppet play.

Encourage your kids to come up with their own characters and creative puppet designs.

These puppets are sure to engage and entertain your students and/ or kids. They will have tons of FUN whilst growing and learning in several key areas of development!

Language and literacy skills will be developed during and after class. The children will tap into their imaginations and start creating their own stories.

You will also notice that playing with these hand made puppets will help children develop their speaking and listening skills.

Here are some photos of sock puppets students have made:
