The Starving Snowman - Lesson Plan Freebie!

In this lesson, we are creating a Starving Snowman who needs to be fed! 

This craft is great fun as kids will feed their snowman snowballs (cotton balls), throw it out and do it again.... and again.... and again.

Recommended for ages 2 to 3.

This craft is loaded with fun and important Superskills:

  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Eye-hand Coordination
  • Tactile Sensory

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 2 Paper cups
  • Scissors
  • Utility knife/ blade
  • Cotton balls or felt balls
  • Paper straw
  • Glue gun or any other wet glue
  • Marker
  • Round stickers
  • 2 Twigs from the garden
  • Crayons
  • Watercolour paint
  • Water in a container
  • Paint brush
  • Towel
  • Skewer stick (or something sharp to make a hole with)
  • Paper straw
  • Crayons
  • Shaving cream
  • Ice
  • Bowl
  • Optional: 2 Craft sticks, Wooden peg, Orange felt/ foam sheet and Ribbon


HERE'S A SNEAK PEEK OF THE LESSON:

Every snowman needs a smile..

But a snowman gets really hungry and need to eat snowballs to gain strength..

After eating all his snowballs, snowman is so strong that he grows arms and a nose!
